Dr. Sabah Amir is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, diabetic eye disease, and retinal conditions. She earned her Doctor of Medicine with honors distinction in surgery, neurology, psychiatry, and emergency medicine from Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics.

Dr. Amir completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of South Florida, where she also completed her ophthalmology residency and served as chief resident. During her training, she was honored with the prestigious Kaushal/Sharma Award for Surgical Excellence and recognized with the Best Overall Research Project Award for developing an artificial intelligence–driven platform to improve glaucoma medication management.

Her clinical and research interests focus on delivering compassionate, comprehensive eye care while continuously refining surgical techniques and advancing health care technologies to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Amir’s career reflects a unique blend of medical expertise, business acumen, and dedication to improving outcomes for those she serves.

Outside of work, she enjoys immersing herself in new cultures through food and travel with her husband and son, cultivating her appreciation for art and design, and capturing memories through photography.
