Sanchay Gupta, M.D.

Dr. Sanchay Gupta is a surgically trained ophthalmologist specializing in advanced technology cataract surgery, including extended depth of focus and multifocal lens options, femtosecond laser-assisted surgery, and astigmatism correction. He also treats a wide range of eye conditions, including dry eye, glaucoma, pterygium, diabetic eye disease, and cosmetic needs pertaining to the eyelids and upper face.
Dr. Gupta earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Stanford University, his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine Cullen Eye Institute, where he served as Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology’s Surgical Education Committee. Training in the Texas Medical Center – one of the largest and busiest medical centers in the world – provided exposure to a high volume of complex patients and surgical cases, where he performed thousands of clinical and surgical procedures.
Recognized for his innovation, research, and leadership, Dr. Gupta has received numerous honors, including the Visionary in Eye Care Award from Ophthalmology Times, the MIT Sloan Healthcare Innovation Prize, and First Place at the Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and founded a medical device company focused on developing life-saving technologies. He is committed to bringing the latest advances in ophthalmology and surgical technology to his patients to help them see and feel their best.
Outside of work, Dr. Gupta enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, dancing, traveling, and cooking and entertaining at home.
